Eat These Yummy Vegetables To Help Balance Hormones!

In a recent blog post, I mentioned that I saw a nutritional therapist in an attempt to balance hormones, and she recommended using Maca powder.

In addition suggested eating more cruciferous vegetables, particularly broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, and cauliflower.

“Cruciferous vegetables contain a constituent in called Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) that is beneficial to estrogen metabolism. When that I3C combines with stomach acid it creates another compound which overlaps with estrogen metabolism so that there is a healthy ratio of compounds that support estrogen metabolism” according to Womenswellnessdoc.com.
