I revealed in “Guided Meditation 5 minutes a day” that I had a wandering mind.
What I found helpful, and for me to be TRULY mindful and “in the moment,” is to focus on something that gives me great joy, where I lose all sense of time.
My Passion and what makes ME happy, is writing blog posts, editing videos, and creating PowerPoint and KeyNote slides and presentations. I also can get way involved in online scrapbooking.
I Forget To Get Out Of My Chair!
Although these fun things give me GREAT joy, I can spend hours and hours doing this, and actually forget to get out of my chair.
In “Protect Your Back: How To Get Out Of Your Chair” I disclosed that it’s best to get up once an hour in order to live longer. I now keep this in mind when buried in a project.
Many of us have full time jobs and are exhausted when we get home and have the same routine day after day. Does this sound like you?

- Play games or text with friends
- Watch TV
- Go to bed
I’ve always been a person who has been not only interested in my job, but in many other things. I don’t even know what the word “bored” means. You’ll never catch me saying “I’m bored” because there is so much to read, so much to do, so much to learn.
Being Creative Works For Me!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t spend every hour of my life on the computer. I have many other things to keep my occupied, as well as an active social life…but…when I want to LIVE IN THE MOMENT, being creative is what keeps me focused and relaxed! Having a fun project to work on, is also a GREAT stress reliever!
